“On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life”

It is commonly known that Hitler believed that blacks and Jews were lesser species of humans as they were closer to apes in the hiearchy of evolution. This is directly opposed to the Judeo-Christian foundation the United States were founded upon stating that all men are created equal.

But regardless of which side of the fence you’re on, to deny the connection between Darwin’s theory and Hitler’s actions is quite ignorant.

What close connection? Natural Selection explains how natural forces, including environmental pressures like temperature change and geographical isolation, cause speciation over long periods of time, resulting in all the species we see on Earth today.

If anything, Hitler’s attempt at creating a “perfect race” was simply an extrapolation of the “artifical selection” humans had been doing for thousands of years on other mammals like dogs. Cheers!
